Private Anatolian Vocational High School subsidizes the tuition of Furkan Sahín, a 17-year-old student who, in spite of the good results in his studies, does not have the financial means to pay for the last year of school.
Fundación MAPFRE has been contributing to project development for several years in the country. Currently, it gives support to four initiatives in Istanbul and other locations. The Darüssaka Society focuses on covering the nutritional needs of its resident students through the “Darüssafaka Nutrition Support” program. The project provides breakfast, a mid-morning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack, dinner and an evening bite to thirty young people who have lost parents and find themselves in unfavorable economic circumstances.
The Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer (KAÇUV) within the support program for families of children with cancer, in which it has worked for many years, has developed an Internet portal to improve families’ knowledge and their handling of the treatment of cancer.
The Turkish Education Foundation is carrying out the Scholarships Project for university students, by which 35 young people between the ages of 18 and 21, among whom ten are disabled, receive scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year.
