The Laudes Infantis Foundation has been carrying out this program based on community barter as a tool in different neighborhoods of the city of Bogota. The aim is to strengthen the capacities and abilities of each and every one of the members and families of the communities where it operates. The project has the support of Fundación MAPFRE.

The program takes place in neighborhoods on the outskirts of Bogota such as Bella Flor, San Jose de los Sauces or Brisas del Volador, where the rates of marginalization and vulnerability of the population are higher. In total, 500 members of these communities, including children, young people and adults, benefit from the program by which families receive training or food resources in exchange for providing some kind of service.

The program is based on three main pillars: community strengthening, training and education and generation of income.

Since 1999, the Laudes Infantis Foundation has been transforming the lives of the inhabitants of the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of Bogota through various programs based on community barter as a tool for change.
