The “Constructing space for peace” project, developed by the CINDE Foundation with Fundación MAPFRE's support, strives to promote a culture of peace in communities plagued by societal violence.
Through school support and recreational activities, psychosocial care and learning through different artistic disciplines focused on developing psycho-social abilities, the organization seeks to foster an environment where the exercise of human rights, comprehensive development, protection, recreation and participation are guaranteed.
Furthermore, they work with the families themselves to try to change the cycle of violence in family settings, through training processes and spaces where families can get together and relate to each other. They also train groups of teenagers and youth leaders to take on a leading role in transforming their reality.
The project offers comprehensive education, including nutritional support, education and healthcare to 200 people (150 children and teenagers from 4 to 18 years old and 70 parents or guardians).
