The Hogar de niñas Cupey runs, with the support of Fundación MAPFRE, a Scholarship Program for the Education and Comprehensive Development of Mistreated girls, offering a high-quality education to 15 vulnerable children in Puerto Rico.
The beneficiaries are residents of the Hogar de Niñas Cupey and will study in private schools chosen on the basis of their profiles and interests.
The project also instills positive moral and civic values in the girls in order to help them successfully integrate into society.
The girl take tests to help decide where to send them and during the year there is a follow-up of the outcome. Their education is also boosted by a program of tutorials in order for them to reach their best possible academic performance.
Hogar Niñas de Cupey is a non-profit institution which has been carrying out its work in Puerto Rico supporting disadvantaged children and young people for over 60 years.
