CESAL and Fundación MAPFRE are carrying out the “Program for the Educational and Social Development Center of Huachipa,” to help promote educational and social development of 2,000 preschool and primary children, adolescents, young people and their families in Peru.
The aim of this project is, as its name suggests, to contribute to the social and educational development of the beneficiaries who hail from the community of Huachipa, in the district of Lurigancho – Chosica, and to strengthen the children’s cognitive processes and social skills, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
The program offers technical and social training to young people and parents through access to formal employment and /or the implementation and management of economic ventures.
The CESAL association started its work in this area of Peru in 1998. This NGO has been involved in international cooperation since 1988. Currently it is present in 12 countries of Latin America and Africa, carrying out projects related to education, health, housing, water and sanitation, productive development, small businesses, and training for employment and the strengthening of civil society.
