Ação Comunitária is developing the “Crê-Ser – Educación Complementaria” project with the aim of developing and improving the cognitive, personal, social and productive skills of children and adolescents between six and fourteen years of age.
The collaboration of Fundación MAPFRE means that nearly 2,500 children and adolescents benefit directly from this educational project which seeks to improve their social inclusion. The support is mainly directed to providing the necessary school and teaching material for carrying out the proposed activities.
In this way, the children can attend activities, before or after their school day, aimed at improving their communicative skills, such as literacy, artistic development, youth leadership or others related to the practice of responsible consumption.
One of the distinctive features of this initiative is that it uses the resources provided by the media as a tool to make the children reflect on current events. Through the press and audio-visual media, the idea is to stimulate a critical spirit among each of them.
Since 1967, Ação Comunitária has been working on individuals’ development from the age they learn to write until they enter the job market. The organization tries to stimulate characteristics and potential of individuals beginning at a young age so that they can develop their own skills and abilities.
