Our campaign “El futuro en un estuche” (The future in a pencil case) comes to an end and we deliver the material
Can a child start classes without pencils and crayons? In Spain there are over 750,000 children who lack the necessary school material to begin the new school year.
We at Fundación MAPFRE believe that these children deserve to look forward to starting school with everything they might need for a good education.
Thanks to your contributions received through our #SéSolidario program and the “El futuro en un estuche” campaign, we are buying pencils, crayons, felt-tip pens, erasers, notebooks… everything needed to embark on their new stage of education. We made a delivery to the San Vicente de Paul Foundation, who were very excited to receive this material that will be distributed among the neediest families.
In total we were able to buy 8,000 ballpoint pens in different colors, 600 ring bind folders, 100 conventional folders, over 100 colored wax crayons and more than 50 backpacks and pencil cases to be able to take everything to school.
With your help, these children can attend classes with their pencil cases full of hopeful anticipation: children who can start the school year with everything they need to learn and to use their imaginations.
Because children are our future.
Let us continue building a future for everybody.
Thank you so much!
