“Providence School” is the project that the Associação Filhas de Santa Maria da Providência is developing in the city of Santa Maria (Rio Grande do Sul) in collaboration with Fundación MAPFRE.

Currently, 270 kindergarten children who are in a situation of social vulnerability benefit from this project which offers them access to a regularized school environment.

The main objective of this project is to guarantee the rights of these children. They attend class and have access to play and free-time activities related to culture, art, sports, education in values and leadership, as well as human, ethical and ecological principles.

The project also reaches out to the families of the children, who are encouraged to engage in the educational process so that this work continues when the children are at home.

The Asociación Filhas de Santa Maria da Providência is an association which, since 1962, has sought to offer an education based on ethical and humanitarian principles and to provide children with a comprehensive education which allows them to develop all their potential.
