Fundación FC Barcelona, with the support of Fundación MAPFRE, is carrying forward the FutbolNet project for the second consecutive year. The project focuses on education in sound values, working towards change through sport in disadvantaged and /or violent areas in Río de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

The FutbolNet program includes a variety of socio-educational sports sessions in which girls, boys and all young people can modify their behavior for the better, by strengthening positive relationships and experiencing values passed on through sport.

The football sessions include games of 3 periods with the following rules: there is no referee, so the players must resolve any disagreements themselves; the teams must be heterogeneous regarding gender, origin, soccer skills, etc.; the participation of both girls and boys must be encouraged.

Since 1994, Fundación FC Barcelona has operated from its basis of sound values and experience drawn from the soccer field. The undertaking is a program focused on passing on positive values to children and adolescents, whose happy and healthy growth are encouraged by the playing of sport.
